A school project on Moving Images and Sound. Students are to develop a video clip of 2min or less on the application of the appropriate use of sound on motion pictures, using consumer video and sound recording gadgets like hand phones, web cams, music players and compact cameras.
This artwork is inspired the novel, After Dark, by Haruki Murakami, where he mentioned that Japan during night time is a totally different world. There will be strange happenings, events and sediments going on that will never be observable during the day. I extended the authors idea and applied it to my own context my own home at night. In this video, I showed how several happenings at home can actually be more than superficial, which will trigger deeper thoughts and vivid imagination. Furthermore, some of the basic requirement for a place to be called home may also be sometimes distorted and abused.
